He was someone I could turn too when my chips were down, and I had 0 answers. Sometimes that's all it takes, he gave me peace of mind and an understanding of the different probable outcomes both from my defense standpoint and the accuser's standpoint. I was up late nights worried and sleepless. Researching as much as I could, with no peace. He was that peace, he was that light in the darkness. Should I fall, I felt as though he would carry me. Please note that this 5/5 star system does not equate the peace I now carry with me because of a 35 min conversation. I have tears in my eyes as I write this review. He gave me his number and told me to call anytime I needed. Thank you is not enough.

I was referred to Tim Amey by a friend. We had an initial “meet and greet” to go over the case. I explained the predicament I was facing and how I felt as though the officers handled the situation poorly. After hearing my side of the situation, he explained each probable outcome in great detail as well as counter outcomes. He told me if the situation occurred the way I say it occurred, he had confidence in a good result. He also noted that whenever dealing with the courts I had to be realistic.
I felt confident in his ability as well as at ease with whatever the outcome (which is the most important feeling one wants in regard to their lawyer). Shortly after court I heard from Tim, not only were the initial charges dropped, but also, his “ be realistic outcomes” weren’t sentenced. With the help of Tim Amey I went from charges that could potentially cause difficulties when applying to medical school to a proverbial slap on the wrist fine that was cheaper than buying my dog dog food. Tim has great knowledge of the law and a demeanor that provokes assurance. I do not plan on having any legal difficulties in the future but I know if I do, I have a lawyer that I can trust.

I would like to articulate this in a way that will convey the importance of calling Tim Amey if you are in a situation which requires esquire services, so bear with me. I have unfortunately needed legal services 4 times in my life, and this time I decided to call Tim after doing extensive research. After having 3 previous attorneys, the switch was incredible! It was truly like night and day, and I thought I previously had excellent representation, I was wrong. He was not only timely and professional, but also seemed like he understood my situation and did not judge, just shot me totally straight. He told me what he would do for me, he told me what it would cost (half or less of what he easily could've charged), and then he went and did exactly that. Not only did I appreciate what he did for me on a professional level, I also appreciated having some conversation with him, very down to earth, my wife said the same thing. Tim Amey said what he was going to do and he did it. Being from out of state, special attention had to be paid to the peculiars of my situation and a more than satisfactory resolution had resulted. I was referred to Mr. Tim and it Truly has been an amazing experience for me. Usually when going through legal battles you are stressed, worrying about what’s next. This man made sure I was stress free. Through this entire process, he did everything. He attended all court dates. I didn’t have to be in and out of court because he handled everything for me. I didn’t miss not one day of work. Through this entire process, he fought to get me the best outcome for my situation. When they threw an outcome at him that he did not approve of and knew we could get better he turn them down until we got the best. Was set at ease after the first consultation. Tim has worked both sides of the law and has a wealth of knowledge on both sides. Any legal proceeding can be verbose, dynamic, and vague; all of which combine to make one feel anxious and overwhelmed. Tim proved to be both professional and sympathetic in all of our dealings. He was always reachable and I felt like I was his only client; willing to answer even the smallest questions day of. And get this, he did even better than he sought to do! Who does that? At the very least, contact him if you need a good lawyer. I'm sure you'll be convinced of what I've written. Small side note: I wanted to give him 4 1/2 stars just because he's a Gamecock fan, but he did a great job so I'll give him the full five.

Johnny Law had me in a bind. When I went looking for an attorney, I was not in a great place. I had a few drinks, but not so many that I felt drunk. When I got arrested for DUI, it was a real shock. Luckily, I found Tim Amey. Lawyers in general are not my favorite people but Tim really put me at ease and handled every part of the case from top to bottom. He answered my calls, kept me out of court, and made sure my case got completely dismissed! No fines, no classes, no suspensions. So glad I hired him and would recommend him to anyone in Charleston. He'll be my first call for anything I need in the future.

Mr. Amey took my case on short notice at a fair rate. He had my case deferred and eventually dismissed. I never had to appear in court. He also followed up to be sure my expungement was finalized ,as to not jeopardize future employment. Mr. Amey is fair, professional and extremely knowledgeable of the local court system. I would highly recommend his professional services!!!!
